Platescan® Device
A low-cost, low-power device designed for FooQai that takes pictures of plated dishes while collecting additional metrics. The device is ESP32-S3 powered with an OV5640 camera and is constructed primarily from food-grade PETG plastic using standard metric hardware. The arm is made from a bent piece of 1/2in EMT. This project went from concept to production in a restaurant setting within just 3 months.
